The Humane Society of The United States has once again shown their ability to threaten and intimidate by forcing WSB TV in Atlanta to remove a news report they did on the organization.

The former link is to the original location of the video that is now gone. Well, thanks to our friends in Iran who so far appear immune to the threats of HSUS we can view the video once again. What does this say about freedom of speech in America? When a gigantic fund raising organization can throw its money and influence around to censor the truth all the while promoting lies and anti-family farm propaganda…and our only source for the truth comes from IRAN? This is scary people, it is time to do something about this.

RURAL CRIME ALERT!!! Beware of trespassers on dairy farms.

May 15th, 2009 No comments

Trespassing incident at Turlock dairy raises awareness of unwanted visitors – - Following an earlier report of a Fresno area dairy that was contacted by a suspicious person wanting to tour the facility, comes a report that a Turlock dairy owner had an unwanted visitor taking photos of the dairy. The person was asked leave the property and did so, only to return later to take more pictures. On-farm video surveillance equipment captured the individual trespassing on the farm. This incident has been reported to the authorities. Dairy producers are reminded of this advice offered by the California Farm Bureau Federation, ACTION (Agricultural Crime Technology Information & Operations Network, administered by the Office of the Tulare County District Attorney), and the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office.

* First and foremost, “No Trespassing” signs should be placed at intervals not less than 3 to the mile along all exterior boundaries and at all roads and trails entering the farm. These signs build a stronger case for dairy farmers and allow trespassers to be prosecuted under CA Penal Code Section 602.8. “No Trespassing” signs, in English and Spanish, are available to Farm Bureau members from CFBF. Vinyl signs in English only cost $1.50 each. Vinyl signs in Spanish only cost $1.75 each. A metal sign with English and Spanish is $8.00. ALL of these are member prices. To order, call 522-7278.

* According the Tulare County Sheriff’s office your first course of action should you spot someone trespassing on your farm is to call the local authorities. Under no circumstances, should you approach the individual or threaten them in any manner. Do not attempt to detain them or take their camera. This is appropriate advice in any county.

* If they are taking pictures of you, take pictures of them. Record the license plate number of the vehicle their driving. Get an accurate description of the vehicle’s make, model, color and other distinguishing characteristics. Get an accurate description of the individual such as gender, height, weight, hair color, etc.
